G-Eazy Dishes On His Acting Debut in 'Hustlers' With GQ Italia

G-Eazy looks so suave on the cover of GQ Italia‘s Fashion Issue.

Here’s what the 30-year-old musician shared with the glossy:

On making his acting debut in Hustlers: “Hip hop is very autobiographical. Leaving myself and entering a role is a new, exciting challenge.”

On the moment he knew something he wrote was special: “I can’t think of the exact song, but I remember the precise moment when something happened in my life. I was about 15 years old and I said to myself: If I start this career I want to be serious. I want to be on the covers of magazines. I want to sign for an important label. I want to go on a world tour. I want to be successful on that level and I won’t accept anything less. Whatever it was that made me ‘click’, that turn gave me the power to believe in myself.”

On the life of being an artist: “It can be madness. But in the end it’s still a job and you have to do it professionally. There are times when I become very strict with myself and discipline becomes extremely important. The thing is, I feel lucky to be here and I try to never take it for granted. I have worked hard. How many have dreamed of what I dreamed, but are not here now.”
