Kobe Bryant's Daughter Gianna Wanted to Play in the WNBA
Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna tragically died in a helicopter crash on Sunday (January 26) while on their way to a basketball practice.
The beloved basketball player coached Gianna‘s team and he talked about her ambition during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
When Jimmy asked if Gianna wanted to play in the WNBA, he said, “She does for sure. This kid, man. The best thing that happens is when we go out, and fans come up to me, she’ll be standing next to me and they’ll be like, ‘You gotta have a boy. You and [Vanessa] gotta have a boy. Gotta have someone carry on the tradition.’ She’s like, ‘Oy, I got this! You don’t need no boy for that, I got this.’”
Kobe has been seen attending several basketball games with Gianna lately and he recently said that he thinks some WNBA players could be playing in the NBA.
