'Masked Singer' 2020 - Meet Contestants, Read Rules & More!

The third season of The Masked Singer is about to premiere after the Super Bowl and this is going to be the biggest season yet for the hit Fox series!

There will be 18 contestants this year, compared to 16 for season two and 12 for the first season. The Season Three contestants have amassed a combined 69 Grammy Award nominations, 88 Gold records, 11 Super Bowl appearances, three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, more than 160 tattoos, and one title in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Because there are so many contestants this year, Fox is switching up the format of the show so we only follow six contestants for the first three episodes, then another six for the next three, and another six for the following three.

“The contestants will be split into three groups of six – Group A, B, and C. Group A will kick off the first three episodes as they whittle down from 6 to 3 singers. Then we will meet Group B as they go from 6 to 3, then Group C. The final 9 contestants from these three groups will then come together and battle it out the rest of the season for the golden mask trophy. As always, one celebrity will still be unmasked in every episode, including the premiere,” the network said in a statement.

Each week, the panelists, host, and audience will try and guess the mysterious celebrity identities. Every week, the celebs have the ability to throw off the audience off, but there will be clues that audience members can catch on to!

The 18 costumes this year are: Llama, Banana, Miss Monster, Frog, Mouse, Robot, Kangaroo, White Tiger, Turtle, Astronaut, Swan, Kitty, Rhino, Bear, Elephant, T-Rex, Night Angel, and Taco.
