Taylor Swift's 'The Man' Video - Fan Theories Explained!

Taylor Swift is about to debut the music video for “The Man” – and you already know the Swifties are sleuthing all over for clues about what to expect.

The Lover singer’s music video for the fan favorite, which addresses gender inequality, debuts on Thursday (February 27) at 7 a.m. ET, followed by a Q&A on YouTube.

One fan theory surfaced after Taylor posted a teaser photo for the video, showcasing a long white hallway with multiple arches, with 19 colorful hands reaching out – which she called out in the tweet: “There are 19 hands in the hallway … but only 2 days until The Man Music Video,” she wrote.

Some felt that the arch looked awfully similar to the architecture inside the home of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who she’s publicly sparred with for years. 19 is also the age Taylor was when Kanye infamously interrupted her at the 2009 MTV VMAs.

However, much like “Bad Blood,” some think 19 hands involved means 19 cameos – likely by fellow female artists in the music industry, like her BFFs Selena Gomez and Camila Cabello.

There’s also the matter of the date of the release, as others pointed out: February 27, which is also the date voting rights for women were upheld by the Supreme Court in 1922 – which became the 19th amendment. (19 – there’s a theme there!)

Of course, these things could all be coincidences, but Taylor‘s been known to love throwing in an Easter egg or two into her campaign visuals.
