NFL Players DeAndre Baker & Quinton Dunbar Accused of Armed Robbery, Arrest Warrants Issued
NFL players DeAndre Baker and Quinton Dunbar are wanted by the police after being accused of armed robbery at a party in South Florida.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Baker, a 22-year-old cornerback for the New York Giants, and Dunbar, a 27-year-old cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks.
Both men are wanted on four counts each of armed robbery with a firearm. Baker is also being accused of four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, according to the Associated Press.
The incident reportedly happened at a cookout at a home in Miramar, Fla. on Wednesday night (May 13). A fight broke out and Baker pulled out a handgun, according to the arrest warrant. Witnesses allegedly told investigators that “Baker, Dunbar and two other men began robbing other people at the party of thousands of dollars in cash, watches and other valuables.”
Detectives believe that the robbery was planned because the men left in vehicles that “were parked in a way that would make it easy to leave quickly.”
The New York Giants said, “We are aware of the situation. We have been in contact with DeAndre. We have no further comment at this time.”
The Seattle Seahawks said, “We are aware of the situation involving Quinton Dunbar and still gathering information. We will defer all further comment to league investigators and local authorities.”
