Kanye West Criticizes Harriet Tubman at Rally, Fans Voice Concerns for His Mental Stability
People are worrying about Kanye West.
The 43-year-old rapper held his first campaign rally in Charleston, South Carolina on Sunday (July 19) to make a bid to be on the ballot for the Presidency.
During the rally, Kanye broke down in an emotional anti-abortion rant, while revealing that he wanted Kim Kardashian to get an abortion when she was pregnant with daughter North, but she refused.
Also during his speech, Kanye criticized abolitionist Harriet Tubman, claiming she “never actually freed the slaves. She just had the slaves go work for other white people.”
After his speech went viral, people took to Twitter voice their concerns for Kanye and his mental stability.
“If Kanye West is having a meltdown maybe it’s best for the press to just leave him alone and encourage him to get the help that he needs as a human being. Judging his outrageous comments about Harriet Tubman and other matters is not going to help the situation if he is not well,” one fan tweeted.
Shortly after Kanye announced he was running for president, it was reported that his family is concerned for him, saying he is “struggling” with a bipolar disorder-related episode.

Kanye West needs help, and it’s a shame that him not getting it is going to cost the Black community which he once cared for so deeply.

This is upsetting. He isn’t well. He hasn’t been for some time. I just hope his inner circle has the courage to put his mental health above their own self-interests before it’s too late. https://t.co/rpPoqK9bFw

All twitter jokes aside, @kanyewest needs to get some professional help. He’s not funny or even entertaining. He needs more support than twitter can give him.
