President-Elect Biden Demands Trump Supporters 'Pull Back' After Breaking Into the U.S. Capitol in Speech

President-elect Joe Biden is speaking out.

Following the invasion of the U.S. Capitol by Donald Trump supporters, the President-elect issued a speech on Wednesday afternoon (January 6) from Wilmington, Del.

“At this hour, our democracy is under unprecedented assault unlike anything we’ve seen in modern times. Let me be very clear. The scenes of chaos at the Capitol, do not reflect a true America, do not represent who we are. What we’re seeing, are a small number of extremists, dedicated to lawlessness. This is not dissent, it’s disorder, it’s chaos, it borders on sedition,” he said.

“I call on this mob to pull back and allow democracy to go forward. At their best, the words of a president can inspire, at their worst, they can incite,” he went on to say.

Trump recently repeated his claims of election fraud while telling his supporters to “go home.”
