Hilary Duff's 'Younger' Spinoff Series Isn't Moving Forward

Sorry Younger fans – a Kelsey spinoff isn’t happening.

Several months ago, show creator Darren Star said that there were conversations going on about the possibility of doing a spinoff centering on Hilary Duff‘s character.

After the Younger series finale aired on Thursday (June 10), Darren revealed that the spinoff isn’t moving forward.

During the finale, Kelsey moved from New York City to Los Angeles after she found a new investor for Inkubator in Reese Witherspoon’s production company.

In an interview with TV Line, Darren said that Kelsey’s ending in the finale perfectly wrapped up her storyline.

“I think [the spinoff] is pretty much off the table,” Darren shared. “Kelsey moving to California could have set up the spinoff, sure, but that’s also just the way we wanted this to end. We resolved her story regardless of any notion of a spinoff.”

Despite a Kelsey spinoff not happening, Hilary will be returning to screens in a very exciting new project!
