Josh O'Connor Reveals If He's Given Dominic West Any Tips on Playing Prince Charles in 'The Crown' Season Five

Josh O’Connor is passing the crown to Dominic West!

While arriving at the 2021 Emmy Awards, Josh, 31, talked about Dominic, 51, taking over the role of Prince Charles from him in the upcoming season of The Crown.

“Dominic needs no tips from me,” Josh shared with Entertainment Tonight. “He’s the greatest of the great.”

Josh played Prince Charles in season three and season four of the Netflix series. For his portrayal, Josh was just awarded with the Emmy Award for Lead Actor in a Drama Series!

Also in the interview, Josh opened up about saying goodbye to the character.

“It happened quite easily, there was a whole global pandemic,” Josh said.

Josh then revealed the one aspect of playing Charles that he’s happy he doesn’t have to do anymore.

“My back was aching [because I slouched for the part],” Josh joked.

Despite that, Josh said that he “loved” the role.

“I had the time of my life making it,” Josh raved. “It was, like, two of the most special years.”
