'Dancing with the Stars' Pro Cheryl Burke Tests Positive for COVID-19, Despite Being 'Fully Vaccinated'

Cheryl Burke has revealed that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

On Sunday (September 26), the 37-year-old Dancing with the Stars pro revealed that she tested positive for the virus, despite being “fully vaccinated” with the Moderna vaccine.

“The PCR test came back, and it came back positive,” Cheryl said through tears in an emotional Instagram post.

Cheryl was scheduled to return to the DWTS stage on Monday night (September 27) for her second dance with celeb partner, Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby.

“I feel so bad for Cody. I feel like I’m letting him down,” Cheryl continued. “I just feel like s–t, to be quite honest. And it’s so overwhelming because it’s Sunday, and the show’s tomorrow.”

Cheryl added, “I figured I should let you guys know since I’ve been as open and as real and vulnerable as I could be here. I just hope I didn’t spread it. For those of you who don’t think COVID is a real thing, it’s f–king real, dude. So I have to quarantine for 10 days and I’ve been ordered to stay home … I’ll be in bed. I can’t believe this happened.”

As of right now, it’s unclear what Cheryl‘s positive test results will mean for Cody‘s future on the show.
