Adele Breaks 2021 Sales Record Just Three Days After '30' Release

Adele already has the biggest sales week of 2021 after just three days of release for her new album 30.

The Grammy-winning singer dropped her new album 30 on Friday (November 19) and it became the top-selling album of the year by the end of Sunday.

The album that previously held that title was Taylor Swift‘s Evermore, which has sold 462,000 copies in 2021, despite being released in 2020.

Billboard reports that Adele‘s album 30 has already sold more than 500,000 copies after just three days of release.

In addition to being the top-selling album of the year already, Adele‘s 30 also has the title for the biggest individual sales week of 2021. Taylor‘s Red (Taylor’s Version) previously held that title with 369,000 copies sold in its first week of release.

With streaming factored in, 30 currently stands at over 575,000 equivalent album units in the U.S.

The album will definitely debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart next week and it will likely be the biggest debut week of the year for overall equivalent album units.
