The Voice's Wendy Moten Was Actually Seriously Injured in On-Stage Fall - See Her Update

Wendy Moten‘s on-stage fall during last week’s live results show of The Voice was much worse than we initially thought.

The 56-year-old singer, who is on Blake Shelton‘s team, accidentally tripped over a speaker on stage and suffered a hard fall during the live show on Tuesday (November 23). She appeared back on screen minutes later and assured fans that she was okay.

Wendy was back on the show for the live performance episode on Monday (November 29) and both of her arms were in a cast.

Click inside to find out what she said about her injuries…

“My right elbow is broken. My left hand is fractured near my wrist, so I fell down pretty hard,” she said in a pre-performance video package.

Blake revealed that Wendy was in the hospital after the show and they were unable to rehearse. He said, “Even though your arm is in a cast, I’m so happy that you are okay. We were unable to rehearse that night, so I’m here in Oklahoma [on Zoom].” She replied, “The show must go on.”

Blake then said, “There truly is no holding you back. Watching you perform with two casts on challenge week, singing country music, people are going to find out what Wendy Moten is all about.

“Maybe I am a warrior. I don’t know,” Wendy said. Blake replied, “Just promise me that you won’t break both your legs,” and she said back, “I ain’t breaking nothing! You might have to wheel me out on a wheelchair, get me up to sing, put me back and wheel me back out.”

Wendy then hit the stage for a live performance of the Dolly Parton classic “Jolene.”

Kelly Clarkson praised Wendy after her performance during the latest live show. She said, “First of all, I know what your week has been like because I asked and kudos to you for even being on this stage right now and getting this done because you know what it costs and you know what you want and it’s worth it. And also to come out here as if nothing happened to you, and you’re perfectly fine, and to tell a story like that in such a sorrowful way. It was so beautifully sad, which is like my favorite kind of music. So, well done!”

We hope that Wendy gets better soon!
