Alec Baldwin Says He Never Pulled the Gun Trigger in Fatal 'Rust' Shooting

Alec Baldwin is speaking out.

The 63-year-old actor gave his first interview since the fatal accident on the set of the movie Rust on ABC‘s 20/20 with George Stephanopoulos.

In a preview from the interview, which debuts in full on Thursday night (December 2) at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and streaming later that evening on Hulu, Alec spoke about how he did not pull the trigger on the gun that shot and killed Halyna Hutchins.

“The trigger wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger…I would never point a gun at them and pull a trigger, never,” he said.

When asked how a live bullet got into the gun, he said: “I have no idea. Someone put a live bullet in a gun, a bullet that wasn’t even supposed to be on the property.”

He also says that this is the worst thing that has ever happened in his life.

Alec Baldwin was recently hit with another lawsuit regarding the shooting.
