Cheslie Kryst, Former Miss USA & 'Extra' Correspondent, Dies At 30
Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst has sadly died at the age of 30.
The beauty queen’s family confirmed the news to People on Sunday (January 30).
According to a report from The New York Post, Cheslie died after jumping from a 60-story building in New York City.

The outlet writes that she reportedly lived on the ninth floor of the Orion building and was last seen on the 29th floor terrace.
“In devastation and great sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Cheslie,” her family said in a statement. “Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined.”
“Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether through her work as an attorney fighting for social justice, as Miss USA and as a host on Extra. But most importantly, as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor and colleague – we know her impact will live on,” they continued.
The family asked for privacy in the wake of her death. Cheslie, who also worked as an attorney, was crowned Miss USA as Miss North Carolina in May 2019.
Extra also offered its “deepest condolences to all [Cheslie's] family and friends” in a statement to People, writing: “Cheslie was not just a vital part of our show, she was a beloved part of our Extra family and touched the entire staff.”
