Emmy Rossum to Play Tom Holland's Mom in New Apple TV+ Series 'The Crowded Room'

Emmy Rossum is taking on a new role!

Deadline writes that the 35-year-old actress is set to play Tom Holland‘s mom in the new Apple TV+ anthology series The Crowded Room.

According to the outlet, the show will center on inspiration stories about people who have struggled with mental illness. The first season inspired by Daniel Keyes‘ biography The Minds of Billy Milligan as well as writer Akiva Goldsman‘s life.

Tom will play Danny Sullivan, inspired by Milligan, who was the first person to be acquitted of a crime because of multiple personality disordered, which is now referred to as dissociative identity disorder.

Emmy will play Danny’s mother, Candy, while Amanda Seyfried has joined the cast as Rya, a clinical psychologist.
