Oscars Co-Host Wanda Sykes Is 'Still Traumatized' by Will Smith's On-Stage Slap: 'F--k Him'

Wanda Sykes was one of the three co-hosts of the 2022 Oscars and she’s opening up about Will Smith‘s on-stage slap, a month and a half after the controversial moment.

Will went on stage and slapped Chris Rock in the face after the comedian made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith while presenting at the Oscars.

“I’m still traumatized,” Wanda said during a comedy show in Florida on Thursday (May 12), according to People. “I can’t talk about it. I get emotional.”

Wanda previously addressed the moment in an interview on Ellen and now she’s revealing more thoughts after time has passed.

During the comedy show, Wanda said, “I couldn’t believe he was still sitting there, like an assh—.” If you don’t remember, after the slap, Will remained in the audience and then was presented the Best Actor award, which he accepted during an extended speech.

“Shouldn’t you be sitting there with a lawyer or LAPD, motherf—–?” she added. “I hope he gets his s— together. Until then, f— him.”
