“We are wearing the color orange to raise awareness to end gun violence in America,” Shawn told the crowd, via People.
He then urged audience members to see his post on Instagram about his partnership with the non-profit organization, Everytown.
The Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund, which is the education, research, and litigation arm of Everytown for Gun Safety, is the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country.
Last month, America suffered another mass shooting when a gunman killed 19 students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Less than two weeks before, an alleged white supremacist killed ten Black people inside a grocery store in Buffalo, New York.
Shawn isn’t the only entertainer that has recently teamed up with Everytown in order to end gun violence.
This fellow musician announced that they are working to donate $1 million in ticket sales to Everytown.
