Rebel Wilson Responds to Report That She Was Going to Be Outed

The Sydney Morning Herald posted an op-ed article from one of their columnists, who revealed that the paper gave Rebel a two-day deadline to comment on their story. Instead of giving them a statement, she decided to reveal her relationship on Instagram.

The journalist who wrote the op-ed was clearly annoyed that he didn’t get the “exclusive” on her relationship reveal, which drew tons of backlash.

One person tweeted, “So apparently it wasn’t @RebelWilson’s choice to come out… The @smh/@theage have admitted to giving her a heads up 2 days in advance that they were going to “out” her. What’s worse, openly gay men at the Sydney Morning Herald were involved in this.”

Rebel responded to this tweet and said, “Thanks for your comments, it was a very hard situation but trying to handle it with grace 💗.”
