Dr. Anthony Fauci Tests Positive for COVID-19 - Read the Statement

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the leader of the U.S. government’s COVID-19 pandemic response, has just tested positive for the virus.

The 81-year-old director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Chief Medical Advisor to the President is only experiencing mild symptoms at this time.

“Dr. Fauci will isolate and continue to work from home,” the statement read (via CNBC). “He has not recently been in close contact with President [Joe] Biden or other senior government officials.”

Dr. Fauci was vaccinated by the Moderna vaccine in late 2020 and has reportedly received booster doses.
