Two Actors Dead After Accident on Set of Netflix's 'The Chosen One' Series

Two actors have died after a car accident occurred on the set of the upcoming Netflix series The Chosen One.

The show is based on the comic book series by Mark Millar and Peter Gross. It follows a 12-year-old boy who learns he’s the returned Jesus Christ, destined to save humankind.

The Chosen One was in production on the Baja California Sur peninsula in Mexico when the accident happened.

The Washington Post reports that a “van flipped after running off the road in a desert area.” The two actors who died were identified by the Baja California Department of Culture as Raymundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar. Six other cast or crew members were injured in the crash.

An independent production company has been filming the series for Netflix.
