The directors of the now-shelved Batgirl movie issued a statement on social media on Wednesday (August 3), amid headlines regarding the film’s cancellation at Warner Bros. after already being filmed.

The movie had a reported $90 million budget, and starred Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon, otherwise known as Batgirl.
