Nick Nolte Reflects On Behind-The-Scenes Drama with Julia Roberts on 'I Love Trouble' Movie Set

Nick Nolte is opening up about the behind-the-scenes drama with Julia Roberts.

The two actors once starred in 1994′s I Love Trouble, and Julia was one quoted as calling him “completely disgusting”.

“From the moment I met him we sort of gave each other a hard time, and naturally we get on each other’s nerves,” Julia shared in a profile in The New York Times in 1993. “[While he can be] completely charming and very nice, he’s also completely disgusting. He’s going to hate me for saying this, but he seems go out of his way to repel people. He’s a kick.”

Now, in a new interview, Nick briefly opened up about the tension between them.

While promoting his new film, Rittenhouse Square, Nick was asked to reflect on the drama with him and Julia.

“No, I haven’t,” he told Insider on if he had ever reached out to her to patch things over. “Though it’s buried.”

Nick added that “it was absurd what we went through. It was partly my fault and a little bit of hers. Julia got married at the beginning of that film and it was one of those things where I just approached it all wrong.”

At the time of the film, Julia had just married musician Lyle Lovett. She married Danny Moder in 2002.

Just recently, Julia revealed a never before known fact about her that has stumped a lot of fans.
