Sylvester Stallone Shares Update on Pal Bruce Willis Amid 'Difficult' Health Battle

Sylvester Stallone is opening up about his longtime pal and former co-star Bruce Willis.

In a new interview, Sylvester, 76, shared an update on Bruce, 67, amid his “difficult” battle with aphasia, a condition that affects the ability to communicate.

“Bruce is going through some really, really difficult times,” Sylvester told The Hollywood Reporter. “So he’s been sort of incommunicado. That kills me. It’s so sad.”

If you didn’t know, Sylvester and Bruce have been friends for decades and starred together in The Expendables movies.

Earlier this year, Bruce‘s family was announced that he had been diagnosed with aphasia and would be retiring from acting. The National Aphasia Association says that the language disorder affects “the production or comprehension of speech and the ability to read or write.”

Bruce‘s wife, Emma Heming Willis, spoke out shortly after, expressing gratitude for the support they have received. She also shared more recently that taking care of her family has really taken a mental toll on her.
