Sydney Sweeney Addresses Backlash Over Family Members Wearing Trump-Themed Merch to Mom's Birthday Party

Sydney Sweeney is addressing the backlash surrounding her mom’s birthday party.

Over the summer, the 25-year-old Euphoria actress threw her mom a Western-themed “hoedown” in honor of her 60th birthday.

While sharing photos from the party, many fans were quick to notice that party guests were wearing wearing MAGA-parody hats that read “Make Sixty Great Again,” while one guest wore a Blues Lives Matter T-shirt.

The photos raised a lot of eyebrows on social media, with people thinking that Sydney threw her mom a Trump-themed party, which she called “absurd.”

In a new interview, Sydney is once again addressing the backlash surrounding the party.

“Honestly I feel like nothing I say can help the conversation,” Sydney shared in an interview with British GQ. “It’s been turning into a wildfire and nothing I can say will take it back to the correct track.”
