Paramore Returns With New Song 'The News' - Watch the Video & Read the Lyrics

Paramore‘s back with a new track!

The band dropped their latest track, “The News,” on Thursday (December 8), ahead of the release of their upcoming studio album, This Is Why.

“Every second, our collective heart breaks / All together, every single head shakes / Shut your eyes, but it won’t go away / Turn on, turn off the news,” Hayley Williams sings on the track.

“‘This Is Why’ has been out for a few months now. It seems like people are into it, which is such a relief. I know there will always be folks that don’t love it when we switch up the sound on them but I try to believe that anyone who doesn’t get it now will find it when they’re meant to,” she wrote on the band’s Discord, via Genius.

“We’re dropping another song soon and I’m starting to feel like a volcano ready to blow. It’s only a single piece of the whole picture but hopefully, ‘The News,’ is going to give a little more context to the meaning behind ‘This Is Why’.”

This Is Why will be released in 2023.
