Trevor Noah's Final Episode of 'Daily Show' Ends With a Special Thank You to Black Women

Trevor Noah has signed off from The Daily Show after seven years as the host of Comedy Central’s late night program.

During his final episode, Trevor gave a tearful goodbye in which he thanked his fans and also gave a special thank you to the Black women who shape his life and career.

“I’ve often been credited with having these grand ideas,” Trevor said. “Who do you think teaches me? Who do you think has shaped me, nourished me, informed me? My mom, my grand, my aunts, all these Black women in my life.”

He continued, “I always tell people if you truly want to learn about America, talk to Black women. Because unlike everybody else Black women can’t afford to f–k around and find out. Black people understand how hard it is when things go bad.”

“When things go bad, Black people know that it gets worse for them. But Black women, in particular, they know what shit is,” Trevor said.

Trevor ended the show with some advice to his viewers. He said, “If you truly want to know what to do or how to do it, or maybe the best way or the most equitable way, talk to Black women. They are a lot of the reasons that I’m here.”

Five guest hosts have been revealed for the episodes when The Daily Show returns.
