Danica McKellar Defends Candace Cameron Bure & Speaks Out About Co-Star Neal Bledsoe Leaving Great American Family

Danica McKellar is speaking out.

The 47-year-old actress is one of the latest stars to weigh in on the comments Candace Cameron Bure said about the relationships that would be featured on Great American Family, and is also responding to Neal Bledsoe‘s decision to distance himself from the network because of them.

Danica, who has starred with Neal in three movies, won’t be distancing herself from the network, as he has chosen to do.

“Neal is a wonderful person. He’s such a great actor, and I have enjoyed working with him so much. He and I both share our love and support of [the] LGBT community, for sure,” she shared in an interview with Fox News Digital. “You know, I don’t agree with his interpretation of her comments. I just didn’t see them the same way.”

She then went on, defending Candace‘s comments she first made in WSJ magazine.

“When she was talking about the portrayal of heterosexual couples in the movies, she started the sentence with ‘I think,’ which is not definitive, and she ended it with ‘at its core,’ which doesn’t mean exclusively,” Danica says. “But I love [Bledsoe] to death and wish him well.”
