Edie Falco Filmed 'Avatar 2' So Long Ago That She Thought It Was Already Released

Edie Falco is one of the only human actors in the new film Avatar: The Way of Water and it seems she wasn’t kept up-to-date on the film’s release plan!

The award-winning actress just revealed in a new interview that she thought the movie had been released years ago and did so poorly at the box office that no one was talking about it.

Edie, who still hadn’t seen the movie as of Friday (December 16), appeared on The View that day to talk about the project.

“I saw the first one when it was out, and that’s going back some time. And the second Avatar, the one that’s coming out, I shot I think four years ago. And then I’ve been busy doing stuff and somebody mentioned Avatar and I thought, ‘Oh, I guess it came out and didn’t do very well.’ Because I hadn’t heard anything. I thought, ‘Oh, well it happens!’ And then someone recently said, ‘Oh, Avatar is coming out!’ I said, ‘It hasn’t come out yet?!’” Edie said.
