Rian Johnson Responds to Major Theory About 'Glass Onion' & Elon Musk

There’s a major theory fan theory that is circulating the internet about Rian Johnson‘s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

If you don’t know, the film, which sees the return of Daniel Craig‘s Detective Benoit Blanc and also stars Kate Hudson, Leslie Odom, Jr., Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Jessica Henwick, and Madelyn Cline.

Now, a major fan theory is circulating that the film is a “brutal takedown of Elon Musk.”

Fans have been tweeting commentary including, “The Glass Onion movie is a brutal takedown of Elon Musk and you should all see it,” and “so miles bron is like an elon musk analog right. im not stupid.”

In an interview, Rian was asked about the theory that billionaire Miles Bron (Norton) gives off major Elon Musk vibes and the film is actually some greater commentary on everything going on between his takeover of Twitter, his running of Tesla, and more.

When asked about the theory, Rian told Wired, “It’s so weird. It’s very bizarre. I hope there isn’t some secret marketing department at Netflix that’s funding this Twitter takeover.”

He continued, “There’s a lot of general stuff about that sort of species of tech billionaire that went directly into it. But obviously, it has almost a weird relevance in exactly the current moment. A friend of mine said, ‘Man, that feels like it was written this afternoon.’ And that’s just sort of a horrible, horrible accident, you know?”
