Susan Lucci 'Can't Imagine' Dating Again After Husband Helmut Huber's Death

Susan Lucci has no plans on getting back into the dating game after the death of her husband Helmut Huber.

While attending the 2023 American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection event on Wednesday (February 1), the 75-year-old soap opera icon said that it’s way too soon for her to think about dating again.

“No, no. I can’t imagine,” Susan told Page Six at the event.

Helmut died at the age of 84 in March of 2022. He and Susan had been married for 52 years.

“It’s been 10 months. It’s not a long time,” Susan explained. “It’s not on my radar…He was a very hard act to follow.”

Susan went on to note that she keeps busy with “amazing friends who like to be out and about,” adding, “And I like to be out and about.”

Susan and Helmut married in 1969 and share two kids – daughter Liza and son Andreas.

During the 2022 Daytime Emmy Awards last summer, Susan honored Helmut.
