Robin Wright Explains the Reason Why She Reunited with Ex Sean Penn in Those Recent Photos Together!

A couple of weeks ago, fans went wild seeing photos of Sean Penn and Robin Wright out together.

It is incredibly rare that they are photographed together and it’s been years since fans can recall the last time they were in public at the same time and place. This, of course, sparked rumors that perhaps the pair could be reconciling.

If you don’t know, the pair were married from 1996 to 2010. In 2014, Robin called their split “devastating…Divorce in and of itself, and with children, is devastating. Worse than that. One of the reasons why we got back together and broke up so much was trying to keep the family together. If you’ve got kids, it’s a family, and you try again, and you try again.”

This week, Robin was asked about reuniting with Sean, and she actually revealed why they were together that day.

“To be friends with the father of your children, it’s a gift. Divorce with children is one of the most difficult things in life,” she told E!

“We were going to an event for our children,” she explained of the reason why they were together. “It’s always gonna be a unit that way. We’re always gonna be a family, whether we’re together or apart, you know, and I think that’s beautiful and I wish that for everybody.” They share kids Hopper, 29, and Dylan, 31.
