Meghan McCain Claims She's Being 'Urged' to Take Ozempic to Lose Weight After Having a Baby

Meghan McCain is opening up about her body, and a medication that she’s allegedly being “urged” to take.

The 38-year-old former The View co-host says she’s being “urged” to take Ozempic to “melt away the baby weight” after giving birth to her second child in January, she says in a Daily Mail op-ed.

Meghan welcomed a child on January 19, and noted that she’s “astonished” by how many people, including “casual friends” and “industry acquaintances” are encouraging her to take the injectable diabetes drug, which is making headlines for its weight loss side effects.

“I’m told ‘everyone is doing it,’ as if that was ever a compelling case,” she wrote.

She also said someone with “extra shots at home” offered her a dose.

“Let me make one thing very clear: I’m not taking it. I refuse.”

“There’s a clear moral issue here. It’s hard to take a drug because swimsuit season is around the corner, while others need it to stay alive,” she continued.

The use of Ozempic for weight loss has caused a shortage that has resulted in a shortage for diabetes patients who actually need the medication.

“I was just pregnant for 9 months. I’ll take a pass on that,” she added.

One popular star revealed she had no idea she was taking Ozempic for weight loss.
