William H. Macy Sued for Allegedly Cutting Down Neighbor's Healthy Pine Trees

William H. Macy is being sued for $600,000, being accused of trespassing on his neighbor’s property and destroying several healthy trees.

The 73-year-old Shameless actor is being accused of sending workers to his neighbor Pierce Brown‘s property to intentionally cut down his trees.

In December 2021, the lawsuit states Macy‘s workers “seriously damaged several healthy, decades-old mature pine trees and other vegetation from the Brown Property.”

“The pine trees and other vegetation were located well inside of the Brown Property line,” the lawsuit states, per People. “In accessing the Brown Property, Macy’s workers damaged the gate that connected the two properties.”

Pierce Brown was reportedly on vacation at the time of the incident.

As a result of Macy’s workers, Brown is now claiming a “loss of property value, loss of use and enjoyment of his property, a loss of privacy, an increase in noise, as well as emotional distress, irritation, annoyance, and discomfort.”

“Macy acknowledged the entry of his workmen onto the Brown Property, their lack of permission to do so, and their destruction and removal of, and damage to, the Brown’s trees and vegetation,” the next month, according the complaint.

Macy’s wife Felicity Huffman, along with Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were among those caught in a nationwide college admissions scandal. Rick Singer, the founder of the Edge College & Career Network and mastermind behind the scandal was sent to prison earlier this year.
