Becca Tobin & Jake Epstein Try To Plan A Wedding With Meddling Mothers-in-Law in Hallmark Channel's 'The Wedding Contract'
Jake Epstein gets down on one knee for Becca Tobin in their brand new Hallmark Channel movie, The Wedding Contract.
The brand new flick is set to debut TONIGHT, June 17 at 8 p.m. on the network.
In a new interview, Jake opened up about how unique the movie actually is.
“Every other Hallmark movie I’ve ever seen is sort of about the love story. In this case it is the love story, but in a way, it’s more human,” he explained. “Yes, romances can happen, but what happens next? What’s the reality of families meeting? Will they get along? Job stuff, does that get in the way of the relationship? It’s kind of a really loving portrayal of a real love story.”
He went on, telling TV Insider that “very few movies answer the question, what happens afterwards? And I think what initially drew me to this movie is that the point that this movie starts, they’ve already fallen in love.”
So, what’s actually next? “It’s planning a Jewish wedding. All of the life challenges and loving but sometimes complicated families and sort of negotiating values and all the things that go into a real wedding, this movie explores with humor and love and joy.”
Here’s the summary: Rebecca (Tobin) and Adam (Epstein), a recently engaged Jewish couple, are beginning to feel like their union may be jeopardized by their different values and beliefs. As their wedding day approaches, Adam’s focus on work begins to interfere with their wedding planning and Rebecca starts to wonder if he might not have time for their wedding or their marriage.
If you missed it, Jake just recently had his first baby!
