We got a chance to catch up with Chicago P.D.‘s LaRoyce Hawkins!

If you don’t know, the 35-year-old actor has portrayed the role of Kevin Atwater on the smash-hit series since 2014 and will be back for season 11 of the NBC drama.

1. My favorite musician of all time is Ray Charles.
2. If I weren’t an actor, I would be a History teacher.
3. My role on screen as Officer Atwater has had a profound effect on my personal life, one such way being that I’ve learned to understand the importance of security and protection. 4. My favorite cuisine is Soul Food.
5. Once upon a time in Monaco, a 4-year-old French homie mistakenly recognized me as 50 Cent. I empathetically took pictures with him and his family, then surprisingly ran into 50 Cent at the Prince of Monaco’s Palace. The rest is history (and hilarious)!
