Jessica Chastain Would Love A 'The Help' Sequel About Celia & Minny: 'I Think About It All The Time'

Jessica Chastain is opening up about the sequel movie she’d love to make and it would reunite her with longtime friend Octavia Spencer.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly in an interview conducted before the strike, the 46-year-old Oscar winner says she’d love to make a sequel to The Help focused on her and Octavia‘s characters, Celia and Minny.

“You know who I think about all the time, and I just wish I could play her [again]? Celia Foote,” she told the outlet, adding that she just wants “to do something, Celia and Minny, and see what happened.”

Jessica added, “You know they ended up living together and raising the baby together, they were best friends. How amazing would that film be? I loved her, and I got to be a bit silly.”

“A lot of my characters I feel like I got to experience a lot. Celia, it was such a deep dive for me,” she reflected in the same interview. “I really threw on that character and I didn’t really get to mine that much material, because I was a supporting part of that story.”

Just a few years ago, Jessica and Octavia teamed up for another movie they worked on together to get Octavia the pay that she deserved.
