Jay-Z Returns to Instagram, Is Only Following 1 Account (Who Does Not Follow Him Back)

Jay-Z is back on Instagram two years after his first one-day tenure on the social media platform.

The 53-year-old “Empire State of Mind” rapper joined Instagram in November 2021 but made headlines after deleting his account only one day later.

He reactivated his account on Tuesday (August 29), sharing his first post to promote the trailer for the 2024 movie The Book of Clarence.

Celebrities including Kris Jenner rushed to engage with him on the app. However, Jay is notably only following one other account, and it doesn’t follow him back at the time of publishing.

More than 45,000 followers are keeping up with Jay on Instagram. However, he is only following his wife Beyonce.

The Renaissance icon is even more selective about her follower count than her husband. At the time of publishing, she does not follow Jay. In fact, her official Instagram account does not follow anyone at all.
