Sam Asghari Unfollows Britney Spears on Instagram Amid Divorce Proceedings

Sam Asghari will no longer be keeping up with ex Britney Spears‘ fashion shows and dance videos on Instagram.

Three weeks after filing to divorce the 41-year-old Princess of Pop, Sam, 29, has unfollowed her on her favorite social media platform.

The news comes about a week after a glitch on Instagram made it look like the couple was no longer following each other.

Up until Monday (September 4), Sam had continued to follow Britney on the platform. However, Page Six noted that he did a major purge and unfollowed nearly 100 accounts. One of those was Britney‘s.

At the time of publishing, she does still follow him.

Britney has remained active on Instagram since responding to the end of their years-long relationship. In one video, she notably removed her wedding and engagement rings and put on a different, equally flashy piece of jewelry while dancing in lingerie.

Instagram has been a touchy subject in Britney and Sam‘s relationship before. There were rumors in late 2022 that he was controlling his wife’s social media, a fact that was disproven when he posted something on her birthday.

Sam had also revealed how he really felt about Britney sharing topless and nearly nude content with her millions of followers online.

The actor and model has responded to two major rumors about his split from Britney - that he was jobless and that he was extorting her.
