Billy Miller, Emmy-Winning Soap Star, Dies at 43

Billy Miller has sadly passed away.

The three-time Daytime Emmy winner, best known for his roles on The Young and the Restless and General Hospital, died on Friday (September 15) at the age of 43.

He passed away just days before what would have been his 44th birthday on Sunday (September 17).

His passing was confirmed by soap opera journalist Michael Fairman.

A cause of death has not been revealed.

The Texas native began his acting career on the soap opera All My Children, playing Richie Novak, before moving on to the Young and the Restless in 2008 as the fourth actor to play the role of Billy Abbott.

He left that show in 2014, and won three Emmys: two for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and one for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

He joined the cast of General Hospital in 2014 and played Jason Morgan and Drew Cain. He was a series regular until 2019. He also starred in Suits, Ray Donovan, and Apple TV+’s Truth Be Told.
