“I guess my gender has always been very fluid,” Bella said. “Someone would call me ‘she’ or ‘her’ and I wouldn’t think about it, but I knew that if someone called me ‘he,’ it was a bit exciting.”
“I’m very much just a person,” she added. “Being gendered isn’t something that I particularly like, but in terms of pronouns, I really couldn’t care less.”
The reporter for the Times wrote, “Now, if she sees “nonbinary” as an option on a form, she will tick it.”
Bella shared the article to her Instagram page and thanked the outlet for “creat[ing] a safe space where I could be myself. I didn’t realise how grateful I was for that.”
In another recent interview, Bella talked about perfecting her American accent for the role.
