Rob Lowe Joins His New '9-1-1' Family at Fox Upfronts!

Rob Lowe suits up while attending the 2019 Fox All-Star Party on Monday (May 13) at Central Park’s Wollman Rink in New York City.

The 55-year-old actor will be starring in the upcoming Fox series 9-1-1: Lone Star, a spin-off of the popular Ryan Murphy series.

The cast of 9-1-1, which has been renewed for a third season, also stepped out at the event. In attendance were Peter Krause, Ryan Guzman, Oliver Stark, Angela Bassett, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, and Rockmond Dunbar.

9-1-1 will air on Mondays at 8/7c this Fall while Lone Star will premiere in the mid-season.

Fox Renews '9-1-1' & 'The Resident' for Third Seasons!

Exciting news for fans of the hit Fox shows 9-1-1 and The Resident… both shows are getting third seasons!

The two shows air back-to-back on Monday nights and their success has boosted ratings 24 percent over the comparable period from last season, according to THR.

911 redefined what a procedural series can be, consistently delivering edge-of-your-seat emergencies, mixed with emotional story arcs and incredible performances from one of the most powerful teams of actors on television,” said Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn.

He added, “The team behind The Resident continue to showcase their brilliant storytelling, revealing both the triumphs and tragedy within the medical world… We want to thank our producing partners, 20th Century Fox Television, who have steered these two extraordinary series. Both 911 and The Resident have many, many more stories to tell and we can’t wait to deliver them to fans next season.”

Fox says that 9-1-1‘s audience across all platforms is 15.4 million people while The Resident is seen by 11 million.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Joins Angela Bassett on Set of '9-1-1'!

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Angela Bassett are hard at work on 9-1-1 season two!

The actresses were spotted filming a few scenes for the upcoming season on Thursday afternoon (August 9) in Los Angeles.

If you missed it, it was announced back in May that Jennifer would be joining the cast of the hit FOX series to replace Connie Britton. Jennifer will be playing Maddie – a 9-1-1 operator.

9-1-1 season two is set to premiere with a two-night special beginning on Sunday, September 23 following the football game on FOX.

Angela Bassett & Connie Britton Join '9-1-1' Cast at FYC Event

Angela Bassett and Connie Britton look stunning on the red carpet.

The two stars were among the several actors from their hit show 9-1-1 at a special FYC event on Monday (June 4) at Saban Media Center in North Hollywood, Calif.

Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Peter Krause, Kenneth Choi and Rockmond Dunbar were all in attendance as panelists during the screening and discussion.

9-1-1 was renewed for a 16-episode second season at the beginning of 2018. Jennifer Love Hewitt will be joining the main cast in the second season, as well as Ryan Guzman.

FYI: Connie is wearing a Cynthia Rowley dress and Alexis Bittar earrings.

Ryan Guzman is Heading to Season Two of '9-1-1'

Ryan Guzman is heading to 9-1-1!

The 30-year-old actor has signed on to join the second season of Ryan Murphy‘s first responders procedural drama, Fox announced on Wednesday (May 23).

Ryan will be playing a firefighter who joins the firehouse led by Peter Krause‘s Captain Bobby Nash.

Last week, it was announced that Jennifer Love Hewitt would be joining the cast to replace Connie Britton.

Ryan is best known for starring in The Boy Next Door with Jennifer Lopez and Heroes Reborn.

Season two of 9-1-1 is set to return in the fall.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Joins '9-1-1' Season 2 to Replace Connie Britton

Jennifer Love Hewitt is joining the cast of the hit Fox series 9-1-1 to replace Connie Britton, who left the show at the end of season one.

The actress is set to play Maddie, the sister of Oliver Stark‘s character Evan “Buck” Buckley. She will start her life over as a 9-1-1 operator, a job held by Connie‘s character.

While Connie will not return to the show as a series regular, there is a chance that she could come back as a guest star.

Jennifer most recently appeared on television in Criminal Minds. The second season of 9-1-1 will air on Fox on Monday nights this fall.
