Rachel Bilson is opening up about co-parenting with Hayden Christensen during the Coronavirus pandemic.
The pair share daughter Briar Rose, 6. Rachel and Hayden were together from 2007 to 2017.
First, she addressed that Hayden is being very good about COVID-19 guidelines, saying on the Betches Moms podcase, “Luckily [my daughter's] dad is pretty hardcore with [the COVID restrictions].”
“But you have to trust each other and you are bubbled up,” she said. She added that Hayden had been in his native Canada for some of the pandemic.
“But it’s also nice because she’s had the opportunity to have another house to go and not be stuck in our house the entire time so I’m grateful for that and we’ve just handled it. Survival mode,” she added.

Hayden Christensen and his daughter, Briar Rose, visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park on Tuesday (October 29) in Anaheim, Calif.
The father-daughter duo were there celebrating Briar Rose‘s fifth birthday!
During the visit, they checked out the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride and built a custom lightsaber in Savi’s Workshop.
If you don’t know, Hayden played Anakin Skywalker in Episodes II and III of the Star Wars series.
That same day, Hayden‘s ex Rachel Bilson wished their daughter a happy birthday on her Instagram, writing, “This is 5. Happy Birthday to my entire universe.”

Rachel Bilson is speaking for the first time about life after her split from Hayden Christensen, and co-parenting their three-year-old daughter, Briar Rose.
“Being a mom is No. 1 for me and it always will be…Anything I choose to do for work has to be something I really want,” Rachel told People.
About co-parenting, Rachel said, “We’re still kind of trying to figure it out…It’s a tricky one. And I don’t know that there is any right way, necessarily.”
Rachel continued, “We say Mommy has a house and Daddy has a house but she’s pretty young to have an in-depth conversation. Most important for me is that Briar is okay and secure and stable. No matter what I’m dealing with or how much it hurts or how much anger there is, it’s just about her.”
“Briar needs to feel loved from the people she loves the most,” Rachel added.
Hayden and Rachel were together for ten years before splitting in September of 2017.
