Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan says she was fired in 2018 while working with Biagio Cru and Estate Wines over her support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The 47-year-old claims she was “wrongfully fired in late 2018 public support of justice for Black people and speaking out against unlawful police treatment,” TMZ reports.
Claudia says she entered into an agreement in 2016 to promote the brand’s Just Peachy. Claudia claims she really helped boost their sales, and all of a sudden in 2018, after she supported the movement publicly, she was cut off. She also claims Biagio said her posts about Black Lives Matter were “too slanted.” She is also claiming the company is still using their association to their advantage despite cutting her off financially.
The company responded, saying they ended their relationship due to “legitimate, non-discriminatory reasons; namely, dissatisfaction with Ms. Jordan’s ability to boost sales in relevant markets.”
They added that they will “vigorously defend against the false claims asserted by Ms. Jordan and will pursue any and all appropriate legal actions associated with false and defamatory statements published by Ms. Jordan.”
Claudia once made headlines for saying this celebrity’s mom punched her on the red carpet.
