The co-stars teamed up for a special screening of their film A Wrinkle In Time – hosted by O, The Oprah Magazine – at Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center on Wednesday (March 7) in New York City.

They were spotted sharing some celebratory dance moves along with a sweet hug.

The duo was joined by their co-stars Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and director Ava DuVernay.

Also in attendance were Ashley Graham, Rachael Ray, Trevor Noah, Questlove, Colin Kaepernick, his longtime love Nessa, Alysia Reiner, her daughter Livia Basche, and CBS This Morning‘s John Dickerson.

Beyonce had the honor of presenting football player Colin Kaepernick with the Muhammad Ali Legacy Award at the Sports Illustrated’s 2017 Sportspersons of the Year Awards on Tuesday night (December 5) at the Barclays Center in New York City.

The 36-year-old entertainer was a surprise presenter at the event.

“Hi everyone! It feels so good to be here on such a special night of appreciation. Thank you, Colin Kaepernick,” Beyonce said. “Thank you for your selfless heart and your conviction. Thank you for your personal sacrifice.”

“Colin took action with no fear of consequence or repercussion, only hope to change the world for the better; to change perception; to change the way we treat each other, especially people of color,” Bey added. “We’re still waiting for the world to catch up. It’s been said that racism is so American that when we protest racism, some assume we’re protesting America.”

“So, let’s be very clear. Colin has always been very respectful of the individuals who selfless serve and protect our country and our communities and our families. His message is solely focused on social injustice for historically disenfranchised people. Let’s not get that mistaken,” she concluded.

Colin made headlines last football season after he decided to kneel during the National Anthem to raise awareness for racial inequality in America. Despite being a star quarterback, he has not played this season.

The Muhammad Ali Legacy Award, previously presented to Magic Johnson, Jack Nicklaus, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Bill Russell, is presented to someone who “embodies the ideals of sportsmanship, leadership and philanthropy and has used sports as a platform for changing the world.”

Viola Davis is all smiles while posing alongside her hubby Julius Tennon on the red carpet at the 2017 ACLU SoCal Hosts Bill of Rights Dinner held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel on Sunday (December 3) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 52-year-old How To Get Away with Murder star was also joined at the event by Gina Rodriguez, Jane Fonda, Billy Eichner, Will Poulter, Andra Day, Common, Diane Warren, Judd Apatow, Andrea Navedo and Lilly Singh.

Colin Kaepernick was honored at the event with the Eason Monroe Courageous Advocate Award.

“We all have an obligation no matter the risk, and regardless of reward, to stand up for our fellow men and women who are being oppressed with the understanding that human rights cannot be compromised,” Colin told the crowd while accepting the award (via LA Times).

GQ has officially announced that former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been named their Citizen of the Year and actress Gal Gadot has been named their Wonder Woman of the Year!

In addition, two other honorees this year are talk show host Stephen Colbert as the Bad Hombre of the Year and NBA star Kevin Durant as Champion of the Year.

Stars like John Legend, Diddy and Jesse Tyler Ferguson are firing back at President Donald Trump for his comments on Saturday (September 23) regarding NFL players who protest during the National Anthem at games.

During an address in Huntsville, Alabama, Trump asked the crowd if they would “love to see one of these NFL owners – when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, he’s fired.’”

The comment was in reference to athletes like Colin Kaepernick who have protested the administration by taking a knee before the game.

Athletes and celebrities alike have since fired back at Trump, who doubled-down on his comments with a string of tweets on Twitter: “If a player wants the privilege of making millions of dollars in the NFL,or other leagues, he or she should not be allowed to disrespect…our Great American Flag (or Country) and should stand for the National Anthem. If not, YOU’RE FIRED. Find something else to do!”

John Legend looks handsome as he arrives at the 2017 Time 100 Gala on Tuesday night (April 25) at Lincoln Center in New York City.

The 38-year-old musician was joined at the event by fellow honorees Riz Ahmed and Trevor Noah.
