RuPaul Andre Charles suited up to hit the red carpet alongside his husband Georges LeBar at the 2019 California Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony held at The California Museum on Tuesday (December 10) in Sacramento, Calif.
The drag queen superstar was among the 10 people inducted, which also included comedian George Lopez, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, late poet Maya Angelou, Olympic gold medalist Brandi Chastain and and chef Wolfgang Puck.
RuPaul, wearing a white suit and a sparkling brooch in place of a tie, called the event “lovely and beautiful.”
“It really emphasizes that California is full of trailblazers,” said RuPaul. “My parents came here from Louisiana and it takes a special breed of person to leave where they come from to start a new life. And my life and career is a result of those trailblazers, and I’m proud to take that baton and work it around the world.”
The Hall of Fame “celebrates Californians who embody the state’s spirit of innovation and achievement and have made their mark on history,” according to a press release.
RuPaul is already celebrating his wins at the 2019 Emmy Awards!
The 58-year-old television host hit the purple carpet in a pink suit at the event on Sunday (September 22) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Ru was accompanied by husband Georges LeBar.
RuPaul’s Drag Race already took home several Emmys earlier in the week including Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Competition Program and Outstanding Costumes For Variety, Nonfiction Or Reality Programming.

The Costume Institute Gala Benefit this year is celebrating the opening of the “Camp: Notes on Fashion” exhibition and is hosted by Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Serena Williams, Gucci designer Alessandro Michele, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
Shawn Mendes is all smiles as he arrives at the 2018 Time 100 Gala on Tuesday night (April 24) at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.
The 19-year-old singer looked handsome in a navy suit as he was hit the red carpet alongside Ben Platt, Trevor Noah, and Sterling K. Brown along with his This Is Us wife Susan Kelechi Watson.

RuPaul is a superstar!
The 57-year-old RuPaul’s Drag Race host and drag superstar received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday (March 16) on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.

Jane Fonda was on hand to present the prestigious spot on the Walk of Fame to Ru during the ceremony.
“Behind the glamour, behind the drag queen is a man of great depth, incredible intelligence and compassion. I love this man very much. I’ve just gotten to know him and it’s one of the great pleasures of my life,” Jane said.
RuPaul was also joined by his husband Georges LeBar, as well as members of the Drag Race family, including Ross Mathews, Candis Cayne, and Todrick Hall.

John Legend looks handsome as he arrives at the 2017 Time 100 Gala on Tuesday night (April 25) at Lincoln Center in New York City.
The 38-year-old musician was joined at the event by fellow honorees Riz Ahmed and Trevor Noah.
