Cuba Gooding, Jr. saved a man set on fire during a party over the weekend.

PageSix is reporting that the 52-year-old actor came to the rescue of the person, who was identified as the host of the party by a source, accidentally set himself on fire at a “socially distanced Shabbat dinner”.

The event took place at the Bridgehampton home of a tech CEO over the weekend, which Cuba attended with girlfriend Claudine De Niro.

According to the source, the host “inadvertently set himself on fire” and “Cuba jumped into action hero mode and doused him with water in front of frightened guests, who applauded once it was clear the guy was OK.”

A rep for the actor confirmed the report.

“The back of the gentleman’s shirt ignited into flames from a candle that he unknowingly leaned back into while the rabbi was giving the Shabbat prayer. The man started panicking and flailing his arms, and guests backed away from the victim — except for Cuba, who ran to the gentleman and doused the flames completely,” they shared.

Cuba Gooding Jr. is being accused of rape.

A woman has accused the 52-year-old actor of raping her twice in 2013 inside of his hotel room in New York City, via Variety.

His attorney, Mark Heller, denied the claims made by the anonymous accuser in a statement.

“The allegations against Cuba Gooding Jr. are false and perjurious. There was absolutely no conduct committed in a criminal nature as alleged. We expect the case to be dismissed. It was an alleged incident that took place over seven years ago with no criminal complaint at the time,” his lawyer told People.

The unidentified woman claims in a civil lawsuit that he invited her up to his hotel room where he began to undress in front of her, blocked the door, pushed her onto the bed and raped her twice.

She is suing for alleged “crime of violence” committed on the basis of gender and is seeking a trial by jury, asking for an unspecified amout of compensatory and punitive damages.

Cuba Gooding Jr. already faces several accusations of sexual abuse and forcible touching.

Cuba Gooding Jr. is being accused of groping over a dozen women in public.

The 51-year-old Boyz n the Hood actor appeared in court in Manhattan on Tuesday (October 15) for an arraignment on four misdemeanor counts of forcible touching and third degree sexual abuse, to which he pled not guilty according to Variety.

He is due back in court on December 13, and was previously charged with grabbing a woman’s breast at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar on June 9. He was indicted by a grand jury on two charges in connection the incident, plus two charges related to a second incident after allegedly pinching a woman’s butt at TAO nightclub in 2018.

Prosecutors reportedly intend to call another 12 women to testify in support of the charges.

“Defendant’s past behavior shows that he routinely approaches women while at bars or nightclubs with whom he has limited or no prior interaction, and touches them inappropriately,” said assistant district attorney Jenna Long.
