Hafthor Julius Bjornsson and his wife Kelsey have shared some devastating news.
On Friday (Nov. 10), the 34-year-old Game of Thrones actor and his wife announced the “unbearable loss” of their daughter after a stillbirth.
“T.W stillbirth/delayed miscarriage. It is with great sorrow that we announce the birth of our daughter, Grace Morgan Hafthorsdottir born Nov 8th at 21 1/2 weeks gestation,” the couple shared in a joint Instagram message.

The Mountain is a dad!
Game of Thrones star Hafthor Julius Bjornsson has welcomed his first baby with wife Kelsey Henson over the weekend.
The couple announced the happy news on Instagram with a sweet photo of Hafthor with the little baby.
“Our beautiful baby boy made his grand entrance into the world at 11:19 AM on September 26th 2020 after a short and intense six hours. 3530 grams and 52 cm. The birth was the most powerful, life changing, empowering thing I’ve ever done in my entire life. We are all doing well and settling in at home as three!” Kelsey captioned on her account.
Hafthor added on his own, “After an extremely hard 2 hours and 19 mins of pushing our healthy, strong, beautiful boy arrived weighing 3530 grams, 52 cm long. To finish the most beautiful, awe inspiring labour was the most wonderful phone call to my daughter to introduce her to her new little brother.”
He has a daughter, Theresa Líf, that he shares with his ex-girlfriend Thelma Björk Steimann.
Hafthor and Kelsey, who announced they were expecting in April, are waiting to announce the name of their baby boy.
The Mountain is going to be a dad!
Game of Thrones star Hafthor Julius Bjornsson announced on Friday (April 10) that he and wife Kelsey Henson are expecting their first child together.
Hafthor – who played Ser Gregor Clegane, aka “The Mountain” – shared photos from their gender reveal party as he and Kelsey found out they’re going to have a boy.
Hafthor and Kelsey tied the knot in Iceland back in October 2018 after dating for a little more than a year.
If you didn’t know, he is 6’9″ while she is only 5’2″!
