Liv Tyler will not be back as Michelle Blake on Fox’s 9-1-1 Lone Star when it returns for its second season.

Deadline reports that the 43-year-old actress will not be returning due to the circumstances related to family and travel during the pandemic.

If you haven’t seen the series, Liv‘s Michelle Blake was a paramedic Emergency Medical Services captain, and the role will not be recast as there is a possibility she could return in the future.

“What a thrill it was having a movie star of Liv Tyler’s stature to help us launch the first season of 911: Lone Star,” series co-creator, executive producer and showrunner Tim Minear shared about Liv‘s departure.

He added, “We loved working with Liv and will be forever indebted to her for her haunting, powerful portrayal of Michelle Blake. While we were able to tell a complete chapter in Michelle’s story, as with Connie Britton on our mothership, we also feel like there are more stories to be told. The door here will always be open for a return.”

9-1-1: Lone Star centered on a New York firefighter (Rob Lowe) who, along with his son, re-locates to Austin, and must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable while solving the problems in his own life.

The show, plus flagship, 9-1-1, were both renewed for new seasons back in April.

Norman Reedus and Liv Tyler have known each other for years and they were just guests alongside each other on The Late Late Show with James Corden this week!

During the interview, the stars opened up about the time they drove past each other and both did a double take… which almost caused Norman to crash his car.

“I was driving one day down the road in L.A. and I saw him,” Liv said. Norman added, “It was on Highland. I almost crashed the car, yeah.”

Norman explained how he saw Liv turn around and then he turned around as well, “and then I just was smiling for the rest of the day.”

“Sometimes you see people in cars, but they’re not paying attention. But we both saw each other,” Liv added.

Liv Tyler is getting into character.

The 42-year-old actress was spotted working on scenes while filming 9-1-1: Lone Star on Wednesday (February 5) in Los Angeles.

Liv was joined by production assistants as she moved through the set between scenes.

She recently opened up about her personal life, including her move to England with her fiance and their kids. She also spoke about her father Steven Tyler, and whether she gets embarrassed by her famous dad. See what she said about him!

The 9-1-1: Lone Star actress made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday (January 21).

During her appearance, Liv talked about moving to England with her fiance and their kids, as well as the differences between British and American lingo. She also talked about the street signs in England, as well as going to soccer games and working with Rob Lowe on her show.

She also spoke about about father Steven Tyler, and whether she gets embarrassed by her famous dad.

The first trailer for Rob Lowe‘s upcoming series 9-1-1: Lone Star has been released!

The 55-year-old actor stars in the upcoming 9-1-1 spinoff series premiering on Fox in early 2020.

In the show, Rob stars as “Owen Strand, the lone survivor of his Manhattan firehouse on 9/11, who had the unenviable task of rebuilding his station after the horrific attack. After a similar tragedy happens to a firehouse in Austin, TX, Owen, along with his troubled firefighter son, T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein), takes his progressive philosophies of life and firefighting down to Texas, where he helps them start anew. On the surface, Owen is all about big-city style and swagger, but underneath he struggles with a secret he hides from the world – one that could very well end his life,” Deadline reports.

Liv Tyler, Sierra McClain, Jim Parrack, Natacha Karam, and Brian Michael Smith also star in the new show.
