Tom Hanks: Broadway Debut in 'Lucky Guy'!

Tom Hanks is set to make his Broadway debut in the Nora Ephron play Lucky Guy, according to THR!

The 56-year-old actor will star in the play about the “career highs and lows of controversial tabloid reporter Mike McAlary in 1980s New York.”

The play will begin previews on March 1, for an April 1 limited engagement opening.

Tom and the late Nora collaborated numerous times in the past including the 1993 movie Sleepless in Seattle and 1998′s You’ve Got Mail.

Nora Ephron Dead at 71

When Harry Met Sally screenwriter Nora Ephron has passed away at the age of 71.

The three time Oscar-nominated writer reportedly had been battling leukemia, according to Variety.

Nora, who previously worked on You’ve Got Mail, Julie & Julia, and Sleepless in Seattle, had two projects in development. She wrote and was to direct a biopic on singer Peggy Lee with Reese Witherspoon in the starring role. In addition, she adapted the four-part British television series Lost in Austen into a film and was set to direct it as well.

Legendary Screenwriter Nora Ephron is Gravely Ill

Legendary Hollywood screenwriter Nora Ephron is gravely ill and is not expected to make it through the night, according to TMZ.

Despite reports that the When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle scribe had already passed away, Nora is still alive. Her family is already planning her funeral, Nora‘s son Jacob Bernstein told gossip columnist Liz Smith (via THR).

Nora has been nominated for three Academy Awards and is also known for her work on Julie & Julia, You’ve Got Mail, and the 2005 remake of Bewitched.

Meg Ryan & Nora Ephron: Lunch Date!

A bundled up Meg Ryan grabs lunch with director pal Nora Ephron at midtown Manhattan eatery Esca on Friday (November 13).

The 47-year-old actress will hit the big screen in just three weeks when Serious Moonlight premieres December 4.

The film, directed by Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s Cheryl Hines, also stars Kristen Bell and Justin Long.
