The trailer for the highly anticipated movie Pixels has been released!

When aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth in the form of the video games.

The movie has a star-studded cast that includes Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, Ashley Benson, and Brian Cox.

The film, directed by Chris Columbus, is set to be released in theaters on July 24. Watch the trailer below!

Josh Gad jokingly shoots the cameras with a fake gun on the set of Pixels in Toronto, Canada on Monday afternoon (August 4).

The 33-year-old actor chatted with co-stars Ashley Benson and Peter Dinklage during some downtime in between scenes.

Pixels summary: When aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. The President of the United States, William Cooper (Kevin James), calls upon his childhood best friend, former 1980′s video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), who is now a home theater installer and had a previous relationship to William’s attractive wife (Jane Krakowski), to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Dinklage, Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet.
